Notes about the restoration project

This restoration work involved a canvas cover with impressions belonging to a private collection. The rare book is a precious example because there is an editor’s note on the guard cards. 

The restoration was carried out without disassembly and involved the recovery of the back of the volume with a compensation of layers of Japanese paper until the necessary thickness was reached, with a final retouching with watercolor and consolidation of the pigment.
