Notes about the collaboration project

One of the points I keep repeating to my students is to always documenting the restoration works. Photographic documentation, alongside with restoration notes, are paramount in order not to forget, and to enhance in the future everything that has been done in the past.

I invite you to explore a photo gallery with many of the works carried out by the students of the second year of the Single Cycle Course in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Rome Torvergata.

You can see the students experimenting on several intervention methods including specimen cleaning, solubility tests of graphic media, restoration of paper, measurement of the degree of acidity, calligraphy tests, study and creation of books and archive bindings, and more.
